Misery follows successful romance novelist Paul Sheldon, who is rescued from a car crash by his “number one fan,” Annie Wilkes, and wakes up captive in her secluded home. While Paul is convalescing, Annie reads his latest book and becomes enraged when she discovers the author has killed off her favorite character, Misery Chastain. Annie forces Paul to write a new Misery novel, and he quickly realizes Annie has no intention of letting him go anywhere. The irate Annie has Paul writing as if his life depends on it, and it does. And Then There Were None

Eight strangers arrive on Soldier Island, having each received a different invitation from a mysterious Mr. or Mrs. Owen. They’re greeted by a recently hired couple: a housekeeper and a butler. The host is absent, so there are ten people in total on the island. It is isolated, accessible only by boat—weather permitting. And hanging in every guest’s bedroom is a framed copy of a nursery rhyme: Ten little soldier boys went out to dine… Everyone is eager to meet Mr. U.N. Owen, but the news is he won’t be arriving until the next day. After the initial dinner, a gramophone recording accuses each guest of a murder they’re alleged to have committed at some point in their past, including the butler and housekeeper. It becomes apparent that the invitations to this island are bogus. The name of the island’s owner, U.N. Owen, is itself an indication of that. U.N. Owen = Unknown. Whoever is in charge of this game has done their research, but most of the guests either make excuses about the accusations against them or feign ignorance. The verdict: they must get off the island ASAP. Only one problem: there won’t be any boat until the morning. Well, two problems, because this is when the guests start dying. And with every death, another soldier figurine vanishes from the dining room table.

Twelfth Night is a fast-paced romantic comedy with several interwoven plots of romance, mistaken identities and practical jokes. Separated from her twin brother Sebastian in a shipwreck, Viola disguises herself as a boy, calls herself Cesario, and becomes a servant to the Duke Orsino. He sends her to woo the Countess Olivia on his behalf, but the Countess falls in love with Cesario. Meanwhile Olivia’s uncle, Sir Toby Belch, gets drunk with his friend Sir Andrew Aguecheek and they play a trick on Malvolio, Olivia’s steward. Eventually Sebastian turns up and causes even more confusion, chaos and comedy. That's the textbook synopsis, but you know GTW has to take Shakespeare and have a little fun with it. Our version is set in East Texas in the year 3,100...but in the future it's known as Texico. We also love to add a little music to each show (just like Shakespeare did!) and this year we've decided to toss in some original JAZZ tunes for your enjoyment!

All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 tells the remarkable true story of an extraordinary moment during World War I. In December 1914, soldiers fighting from opposing trenches along the Western Front began singing Christmas carols to one another. Eventually, some laid down their weapons and stepped into No Man’s Land. For a brief time, enemies became people again. They exchanged gifts, shared food and photographs, buried their dead, sang together, and even played football before eventually returning to their trenches and to the war. All Is Calm tells their story using the actual words of the soldiers who lived it, drawn from letters, journals, poems, and firsthand accounts, woven together with the songs they sang. Rather than following traditional characters and dialogue, the production is built through storytelling, music, movement, and ensemble performance.

A Christmas Carol: A New Musical

Ebenezer Scrooge is a miserly man who despises Christmas. Scrooge started a business with Jacob Marley, who was very similar to Scrooge, but since Marley died Scrooge runs the business alone, treating one of his staff members, Bob Cratchit, very poorly. One night Scrooge is visited by the ghost of Jacob Marley, who warns Scrooge that if he does not become kinder he will have an awful fate after death. Marley tells Scrooge that in the coming nights he will be visited by three more ghosts. Initially Scrooge fails to take the warning seriously but as the ghostly visits become more terrifying, Scrooge begins to realise that he must change his ways. By the end of the story Scrooge has completely transformed, having learnt the importance of charity, friendship and generosity. Christmas is now his favourite time of the year and he does all he can to help Bob Cratchit and his family.
